Small Hydro Power Plant – Jelovica 1 as our final project in the catchment of the Bistrica river, represents second largest sHPP on this waterflow. Considering that realization of this project will represent fulfillment of the all conditions from the concession contract for Bistrica river, Hidroenergija decided to finish this project by the end of 2020. To keep proven high quality level of construction works that we have on our other sHPPs, we signed contract with Bemax Podgorica as company that was our partner on all previous projects. Hydromechanical equipment is already procured from proven Austrian company in production of turbines Geppert GMBH that was our partner on the projects sHPPJezerstica, sHPP Orah, sHPP Jelovica 2 and sHPP Sekular. GRP materials for penstock are procured from Turkish company Subor Boru. Middle voltage facility and control system for this project are purchased and installed by Sintaksa Split that was our partner on all of our plants and provided us with highest quality of equipment and service.

After construction of sHPP Jelovica 1 and installation of the equipment for safe power generation from this facility, this plant became operational in October 2020. Commissioning of this plant represents fulfillment of all obligations towards Government in accordance with provisions authorized in concession contract for Bistrica river.
